about me
Hello, my name is Michael Dahlstedt inventor of the Swedish Winghook.
I am very interested in art and over the years collected too many paintings.
One day I decided to put my art on my walls and scouted the market for frame hooks for plaster walls. I was not really satisfied with the products on the market needing a lot of tools and seemed complicated to install and leaving traces and holes in the wall after taking down the painting.
I sat down and thought about my issue and started to sketch on a simple solution to apply the frame hook into the plaster wall. It had to be small and not to long to fit only in the wall and not touch anything behind the plaster wall. It had to be smart designed to drive into the plaster wall and be able to carry the weight of my paintings. It was also important to not leave marks and holes after removing the painting. So, I started to think about wings to carry the weight and a nail to push through the plaster and the result became the Winghook.
When in contact with the producer of the Winghook I decided to apply minimum impact on our environment. There is zero plastic policy applied. The winghook is made by steel and the box is from recycled cardboard. It is also possible to reuse the Winghook again and again.
